Session Description
Difficult patients can be hard to manage within a medical practice. This session provides insight to help teams with identifying factors that may contribute to non-compliant behaviors. In addition this session will use examples to aid in discussion of processes for discharging a patient from the practice, and strategies for handling these types of visits effectively.
Session Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants will be able to:
• Reinforce Identify factors that may contribute to problematic or noncompliant patient behaviors
• Identify proactive steps one can take to reduce the escalation of problematic or noncompliant patient behaviors
• Discuss the roll technology has in patient engagement
• Summarize the process for discharging a patient from the practice
• Discuss strategies for handling new or established difficult patient visits effectively
