What makes social situations so challenging is what we call the “cocktail party effect.” Any listening place in which the combination of energetic masking (overall intensity level of all the noise) and informational masking (voice of talkers that the listener does not want to hear) make these social situations so challenging for persons with hearing loss. In this session, the benefits of Signia’s unique split-processing technology, among other features to benefit the patient, will be discussed.
