About Juan Chiossone

Medical Doctor degree at Luis Razetti School of Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela and Otolaryngology Residency Hospital Universitario de Caracas (Universidad Central de Venezuela). Neurotology Fellowship at Addenbrooke´s NHS Cambridge University Hospitals. Post-Doctoral Scholar at Darwin College, Cambridge University. Develop and academic career at Universidad Central de Venezuela as a Professor in Otolaryngology and former Chairman of the department led the Neurotology program and founder and director of the Cochlear Implant program. Vice president of the Venezuelan Foundation of Otology and Director of its cochlear implant program. Invited professor at several universities in the USA, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and China. Currently is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is the Director of the Cranial Access Neuroanatomy and ENT Surgical Laboratory (CANES Lab) part of University of Miami Ear Institute. Research areas are, surgeons skills metrics, cochlear implants, tinnitus and hyperacusis.
