About Chris Fair
Chris Fair is an R&D leader at the intersection of data science and medical technology, always looking to redefine state-of-the-art and standard of care. "Engineering the extraordinary" at Medtronic for the last 15 years, Chris' current responsibilities include Medtronic ENT's powered surgery and neurophysiological monitoring platforms, where he is using the power of data science and machine learning to enhance the patient journey and improve outcomes. Past projects include Medtronic's IPC power console, StraightShot® M5 Microdebrider, Midas Rex™ MR8™, NIM 3.0, NIM Vital, the NIM-Eclipse® E4 intraoperative nerve monitoring system, the POWEREASE™ System, the Fusion Compact™ ENT Navigation System, and many more.
Chris graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, holds many patents, is a past Medtronic Technical Contributor of the Year, and is a multi-time winner of Medtronic's Star of Excellence.
