About Joseph Han

Joseph K Han, MD, FARS, FAAAAI, FAAOA, is Professor of Otolaryngology , Medical Director of the Division of Allergy, and Director of the Division of Rhinology & Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Dr Han holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington, a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and completed an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Allergy at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is involved with many national organizations including the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA), American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Rhinologic Society (ARS), and the Guideline Taskforce. Dr Han's main scientific research evaluates the impact of allergy and asthma on sinusitis and has given many national and international scientific presentations on this topic. His other clinical interest other than allergic rhinitis includes nasal obstruction, sinusitis, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, and nasal/skull base tumors.
