Dr. Joseph Schertzer is a native of Broward County, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University before earning his medical degree and completing residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed an American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship with Edward H. Farrior, MD at the University of South Florida. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida. His clinical interests include facial paralysis and reanimation, craniomaxillofacial trauma, functional rhinoplasty, and reconstruction following skin cancer surgery.
