SJ Luedtke

SJ Luedtke is a Chief Marketing Officer and senior marketing executive with nearly three decades of experience in the sports and entertainment industry. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, SJ began her career in motorsports, supporting sponsor programs and hosting team owners and drivers for IndyCar racing teams, including her first boss, Paul Newman, and racing legends Mario and Michael Andretti, Christian Fittipaldi, and Dario Franchitti, at tracks around the world. After leading strategic planning for clients such as Target, Motorola, and Goodyear at two Chicago-based agencies – yes, she has ridden in the Goodyear Blimp – SJ joined Nike, where she spent nearly a decade in both regional and global roles. At Nike, she led award-winning regional marketing programs, piloted a female consumer experience lab later scaled worldwide, and developed strategic plans for athlete partnerships including Odell Beckham Jr., Russell Wilson, and Saquon Barkley. In 2019, SJ returned to her motorsports roots to lead marketing for the NTT IndyCar Series. There, she redefined the series’ marketing strategy to engage a new generation of fans, developed entertainment and licensing ventures, and led promotion for the world’s largest single-day sporting event—the Indianapolis 500. Most recently, SJ oversaw strategic marketing for the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash professional soccer clubs, Shell Energy Stadium, and Houston Sports Park. Her team of more than 30 managed creative, content, advertising, communications, licensing, retail, and community engagement, while she also served on the Houston World Cup marketing committee in preparation for the 2026 tournament. A longtime member and former chapter executive of Women in Sports and Events, and a featured speaker at industry conferences including the Blackbook Motorsports Forum in London, SJ is passionate about advancing opportunities for women in sports. A proud Wisconsin native, SJ is a Green Bay Packers shareholder and avid endurance athlete, having completed nine marathons—including two Boston Marathons—and three Ironman triathlons (which, as she notes, are the only triathlons she’s ever entered).
